Why People Management Matters

This page streamlines user onboarding and ongoing team management, providing clear oversight of all Standupify users. It allows administrators and team leads to quickly assess bot adoption, track user activity, and manage team assignments efficiently. The ability to filter and search simplifies administrative tasks, ensuring an accurate and up-to-date member directory and facilitating rapid user profile adjustments.

Understanding the People Section

The 'People' section serves as the central hub for managing all invited and added team members within your organization.

Accessing the People Page

To view and manage your team, navigate to the People tab located in the top navigation bar of the Standupify web interface. Other primary navigation options include 'Check-ins' and 'Teams', as well as user profile and notification icons on the far right.

Inviting New Members

At the top right of the 'People' page, you'll find a prominent Invite members button, easily identifiable by its purple color and envelope icon. Clicking this button initiates the process to add new users to your Standupify organization. You have the flexibility to invite new users either by generating a shareable link or by sending an invitation directly to their email address.

Viewing Team Members

The core of the 'People' page is a detailed, scrollable table that lists every member within your organization. This table provides at-a-glance information through the following columns:

  • NAME: Displays the user's avatar (or initial for those without a profile picture) alongside their name.
  • TEAMS: Shows which specific teams the individual is assigned to within Standupify (e.g., 'Projectli', '[C2C] Dev/QA', 'Marketing'). A single user can belong to multiple teams.
  • STATUS: Clearly indicates the current activity status of the member, displayed as either Active (highlighted in a green pill-shaped label) or Deactivated (highlighted in a red pill-shaped label).
  • BOT INSTALLED: A clear green checkmark icon in this column confirms whether the Standupify Google Chat bot has been successfully installed and set up by the user. This helps you quickly check the bot installation stage.

For larger organizations, a vertical scrollbar on the right side of the table allows you to view the full list of members.

Filtering and Searching for Members

On the left side of the page, a dedicated sidebar provides robust filtering and search capabilities to help you quickly locate and manage specific individuals or groups:

  • Search: An intuitive input field labeled 'Search by name or email' allows you to type in a member's name or email address to instantly find them.
  • Team: A dropdown filter, initially showing 'All', lets you narrow down the list to members belonging to a particular team (e.g., 'Projectli', '[C2C] Dev/QA', 'Marketing').
  • Status: Another dropdown filter, also initially set to 'All', enables you to view only Active or Deactivated members.
  • Bot: This dropdown filter, likewise showing 'All' by default, helps you identify members based on their Standupify bot installation status, confirming who has or hasn't installed the bot.

Managing Individual Member Details

Each row in the member table includes an Edit link. Clicking this link provides access to individual user settings, where administrators can perform various actions, such as changing team assignments, updating user status, or managing other user-specific configurations.
